About Us

Fun with purpose

Welcome to Troop 22B and Troop 22G!  We are a large and active Troop. Each month our Scouts organize and run an outing such as a campout, backpacking, rock climbing, or fishing. On these outings, Scouts learn to master skills such as camping, orienteering, cooking, first aid, knots, lashings and much more. In everything we do, we encourage Scout values such as integrity, responsibility, kindness, bravery, and ensure opportunities for all boys and girls to take leadership and serve our communities.

Each summer our Troop participates in a Scout Summer Camp. This is an incredible opportunity to bond with other Scouts and to advance and earn merit badges.  We also have a tradition of older Scouts taking a "High Adventure" trip in summer.  We alternate between 3 BSA bases: Philmont Scout Ranch (backpacking trek in New Mexico); Florida Sea Base (water sports and fishing); and Northern Tier (150 miles of canoeing in Canada). These physically and mentally challenging trips are for older Scouts. Our younger Scouts look forward to them and work hard to gain the skills and maturity needed for High Adventure.

Our Troop meets weekly on Monday evenings. During these Troop Meetings, we spend most of our time preparing for our outings, working on a skill, and playing a game. It is during the monthly outings that the growth and magic of Scouting happens!  Please contact us if you have questions or would like to come visit.  There's always room for more Scouts in Troop 22B and Troop 22G!
