Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 22! We are chartered by Prince of Peace Episcopal Church.  We have been serving the Woodland Hills and surrounding communities for over 20 years.

The aim of the Scouting program is to develop youth with character, citizenship and personal fitness.  Our Troop accomplishes this through fun activities like hiking, camping and community service projects. We have fun...with a purpose!  During our tenure we have helped over 50 boys become Eagle Scouts!

Please e-mail us at troop22wh@gmail.com to arrange to visit one of our meetings.  There's always room for one more at Troop 22!

Landed safely on Catalina Island!

Posted on Jul 25 2011 - 2:30pm

Glad to say we arrived safely at Emerald Bay (EB). Only 2-3 scouts were a little unsteady on their feet after a fairly choppy ferry to the dock at EB. Two scouts (Sam and Alec) really showed scout spirit last night when they returned $10 that they found in camp. They are scheduled for a special recognition tonight after dinner. This morning we had swim check at 6:00AM! When that cold water hit my bald spot I Almost screamed like a pre-teen. One scout, Michael, really struggled at first and thought he wouldn't make it, but he really showed spirit and determination by telling himself that he could make it, and he did! Scott and Dane are the most enthusiastic scouts, Reed, Sebastian and both Joshuas are having a great time and are doing very well on their merit badges! Rayne and Shane are hard at work on some of the most intellectually challenging merit badges. Bailey and Alex have really stepped-up as leaders (they were just little peanuts a year ago!) and the ASM's just don't have anyone to yell at! Andrei has settled into a groove and is doing very well on his merit badges. Most boys now have their 'Toten Chit and have started the woodcarving merit bage. Thomas has shown what a hard worker he is and he wants to take the scuba class as soon as we can get a hold of his parents (hint, hint John and Ingrid) Matt is really showing some independence, and is working hard on his merit badges.
