Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 22! We are chartered by Prince of Peace Episcopal Church.  We have been serving the Woodland Hills and surrounding communities for over 20 years.

The aim of the Scouting program is to develop youth with character, citizenship and personal fitness.  Our Troop accomplishes this through fun activities like hiking, camping and community service projects. We have fun...with a purpose!  During our tenure we have helped over 50 boys become Eagle Scouts!

Please e-mail us at info@BSAtroop22.com to arrange to visit one of our meetings.  There's always room for one more at Troop 22!

Merit Badge Day at the Printing Museum offers Scouts an opportunity to earn 2 different MBs in 1 day: the Graphic Arts MB and the Pulp and Paper MB.  Troop 22 Scouts who went this year really enjoyed the unique hands-on exposure to a range of crafts, industries and sciences, both past and present.  2014 dates are booked but dates have been announced for 2015. You can register here.

Here's how the day goes:

Backpacking Meals

Posted by qnguyen on May 22 2014 - 4:22pm

From Steve Vincent:  Hey Scouts!

Some of you got a taste of the meals the leaders made during the recent Matilija backpacking trip. For dinner we made Bannock Bread and Appalachian Chicken and Rice. (recipes below)  Both were very easy to make, with only a little preparation at home.  I got the recipes from the Boy Scout Backpacking Cookbook (here's a link).   There are a ton of great recipes in there and If any of you want to look through my copy I can bring it to a meeting for you to check it out.
