Purpose of the University of Scouting Program

The University of Scouting is a supplemental training opportunity for all adult volunteer Scouters in the Western

Los Angeles County Council.

Degrees will be available in The College of Adventure (Varsity, Venturing and Exploring), and the College of Boy

Scouting. Courses offered are at the advanced level to those working with units and districts.

Both offer unit and district Scouters enhanced training opportunities beyond Basic Leader Training. Scout Leaders

and Training Teams will find challenges among the courses offered.
