Troop 22 Service Projects

Service is an important part of Scouting and Troop 22 is no exception.  Our Scouts strive to "Do a Good Turn Daily."

Service to our Community

Here are some of the ongoing ways Troop 22 serves the community.

Service to our Chartered Organization

Troop 22 is fortunate to have a terrific Chartered Organization, Prince of Peace Church.  Annually we try to give back to our Chartered Organization by doing a service project for them.  In addition, we try to help the West Valley Food Bank located in the same building as our Troop meetings whenever they need assistance.

Eagle Projects

Troop 22 seems to always have at least one Scout working on his Eagle badge of rank.  As part of the requirements for earning this rank, the Scout organizes a significant service project.  The Scout usually includes the whole troop in the project by recruiting and managing volunteers from our troop.  Our Scouts then have the opportunity to participate in many varied service projects.  We have pulled weeds, dug trenches, built campsite equipment, painted a library, and many, many other things while helping Scouts earn their way to Eagle.  Participating in Eagle Scout projects is a way for our Scouts to give back to their community and also to support a fellow Scout.
