Patrol Outings
-
Patrols may plan, organize and run outings for just their patrol. There is
a Troop 22 planning guide to help you with
the planning.
-
Outings should be Scouting related. You can try car
campouts, backpack trips, day outings, hikes etc.
-
All Patrol outings must follow BSA guidelines. The
Verdugo Hills Council website
maintains an online version of these guidelines.
-
To ensure 2-deep leadership, the outing must include at least two adults and one
must be a trained Assistant Scoutmaster.
-
A local tour permit must be signed
by the Scoutmaster and filed with the Council 2 weeks prior to the outing.
-
Contact the Troop Quartermaster to reserve and pick up
troop equipment for use on your outing
as needed.
-
The Assistant Scoutmaster must carry medical
release forms for all boys attending and is responsible for ensuring
compliance with all BSA safety policies.
