Ocean Fishing
What is it?
The troop charters a large fishing boat for a day of fantastic ocean fishing for
our Scouts and their family members. This event can be costly but the
Scouts have a fantastic time and almost always come back with lots of fish.

Outing Information
For this outing Troop 22 will be chartering the Sea Angler, pictured above, a
65 foot long 22 foot wide ocean fishing boat! This is a large boat and we will
be limiting the number of participants so it should be a fantastic fishing
experience for all! The Sea Angler seats 72 people and has a galley that
seats 15.
We are expected to catch yellow tails, sand bass, calico bass, halibut and a
variety of other fish.

- We will depart from Prince of Peace at 5:00 am!!
- We expect to return to Prince of Peace at 6:00 pm
- No ice chests are allowed on board
- Ice is for sale on the boat to preserve your big catch!
- Food: the galley will be open for breakfast and lunch
- Bring money for drinks and any meals you plan to buy
- Bring a sack lunch if you do not wish to purchase lunch
in the galley (sack may have dual purpose!)
- Fishing License: All participants over 16 years old will need a
one-day fishing license. The license is $8 available at the dock or you
can bring your own.
- Fishing equipment rental:
- rod and reel $10 per day
- $2.50 for hooks and lead
- Space is limited to 60 participants.
- Cost: $50 per participant will cover the cost of the boat and other
fees. This does not include rental equipment, fishing license or food
- We must have your money in advance!
