Jeremy's Eagle ProjectOverview of the ProjectMy project was to aid the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, the chartered organization for Troop 22, in the expansion of their memorial garden. The original garden contained rows of roses and a set of stones that led to a plaque. Cremated remains were interred in the garden. The expansion work had already begun with the construction of a wall with a water fountain in the front. This construction was overseen by a professional landscape artist hired by the church. The remaining work that I oversaw consisted of removing the existing grass, putting in a hedge around the garden, planting rows of plants throughout the garden, and creating a patio with benches and lights in the middle of the garden. I also added a new grass section. The expanded garden area is two regions of about fifteen by twenty-six feet. A sprinkler system was added to cover the garden area, the hedges, and the grass. The patio is approximately twenty by fifteen feet in area and is based with a type of flagstone with Irish moss planted between the stones.
