James's Eagle Scout Project

James built a renewal labyrinth at our Chartered Organization, Prince of Peace.

James's Project Description:

We installed a 30 foot diameter labyrinth within a circumscribed concrete square at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Woodland Hills.  A labyrinth is a two-dimensional design through which a person walks to help them in meditation and prayer.

The project entailed the erection of a wooden frame upon a prepared surface which the scouts prepared and rendered level.  Next, concrete was poured into the frame and leveled by professionals.   Lastly, a purchased labyrinth design was etched into the surface of the dried concrete and then textured and colored concrete was added to enhance the etched design.
