Troop 22 High Adventure Trek Leaders Kick-OFF Meeting

Each year, in January, we have a High Adventure Trek Leaders Kick-Off Meeting.  This is an adult only, out of uniform meeting typically held at the home of one of the members of the team.  This meeting is for the Troop Committee support personnel, the Scoutmaster, the High Adventure Crew Advisors and all of the leaders who will be attending the High Adventure trek.

Adult Leader High Adventure Trek Team Selected by Scoutmaster

It is important for the Scoutmaster to determine the Crew Advisors for High Adventure Treks and the other adult leaders who will attend the High Adventure Trek by this January meeting if at all possible because of the extensive planning required for a successful High Adventure experience for our Scouts.  It is the sole responsibility of the Scoutmaster to determine the High Adventure Program team based on the needs of the Scouts.  All adults interested in being a part of this team should talk to the Scoutmaster before this January meeting.

All adults going on a High Adventure Trek must have a current (within the last year) Youth Protection Training certificate, safe swim defense and safety afloat.  All adults must have completed New Leader Essentials training and either Scoutleader Specific training or Troop Committee Challenge training.  All adults must also be CPR and First Aid trained.  (For more information on Training click on training to the left).  In addition all leaders must be physically in good health and fitness.  All adults must be willing to seriously train for this event as they are physically rigorous, especially for adults!!

Troop Committee High Adventure Team Members

In addition to the High Adventure Trek Coordinator, other Troop Committee Members that are part of this team are the Medical Forms Coordinator, the Outdoor/Activities Coordinator, the Outings Finance Coordinator, the Emergency Contact Person, Troop Equipment Coordinator, T-shirt Sales Coordinator, and the Transportation Coordinator.
